"Japan Smoking Area" is a mobile application that helps users locate legal smoking zones in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara Park using official municipal data. The Service uses precise location data to display your position on a map and provide NearbySmoke Alerts, notifying you when you are near a smoking zone. The Service also uses Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service, and osmdroid, an open-source mapping library, which may collect or transmit certain data as described below.

Data Collection and Use

The Service does not require you to provide personal information such as names or email addresses, and we do not store such data. To provide core features, the Service collects the following with your permission:

• Precise Location Data: We access your precise location (e.g., GPS coordinates) to display your position as the map's center point and to enable NearbySmoke Alerts, which notify you when you are near a legal smoking zone. This data is processed locally on your device and is not stored or uploaded to our servers. You can enable or disable location access at any time through your device settings.
• Map Tile Requests: The Service uses osmdroid in online mode to render maps based on OpenStreetMap data. When loading map tiles, osmdroid sends requests to tile servers (e.g., OpenStreetMap servers) that include the map's center point coordinates (e.g., latitude and longitude, reflecting your location). These coordinates are not linked to your personal identity and are used solely to retrieve map tiles. Google AdMob may automatically collect certain information to provide personalized advertisements, including:

• Device Information: Such as device type, operating system, unique device identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID), and IP address.

• Approximate Location: AdMob may derive coarse location data (e.g., city-level location based on IP address) for ad personalization. The Service does not share precise location data with AdMob.

Data Retention

Precise location data is not stored by the Service and is only used in real-time for map display and NearbySmoke Alerts. Map tile requests sent to osmdroid tile servers are not retained by us. AdMob data is retained according to Google's Privacy Policy.

We prioritize the security of your information. Precise location data is processed locally, and osmdroid tile requests are handled securely by tile servers. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 20 and above, in compliance with applicable tobacco regulations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 20. If we become aware that a user under 20 has provided personal information, we will delete it.
